What We Learned Today...January 12th

Working hard on their Science reflections!

ELA: This morning we continued our investigation into Dystopian Societies. Over the course of the hour we looked at characteristics that identify Dystopian Society as well as character traits that most protagonists possess. Students were then shown select clips from "The Matrix" and were then tasked with identifying the Dystopian characteristics and character traits within.

AR: Since we spent the entire ELA period this morning on our Dystopia lesson, I gave the students a half hour AR period after lunch so they could stay on top of their books.

Math: Over the course of the hour, students finished up their assignment from Pg. 257 of their textbooks before starting the 7.2 handout.

Science: During the last hour of the day the students completed a reflection on the lab they participated in last week.  We also took some time to review the Scientific Method so we will be ready for our Volume Lab next class.
