What We Learned Today...October 3rd

On the Terry Fox Walk today.
This morning we had our usual AR period from 9:08 to 9:38.  With 7.6 AR Points Per Student, we are so close to our goal of 10 points.  I'm confident that we will be able to reach our goal by the end of the day tomorrow as long as everyone continues to read!  In ELA the students were given the entire hour to work on their Pandora's Box Project.  This was the last class period given for this project so if students have not completed their assignment it will be homework.  *Students, don't forget that this project is due on Monday, October 7th.

In Grade 8 Math we continued to learn about "Perfect Squares and Square Roots".  Once we finished up with the teaching portion of the class, students were given the rest of the period to work on their assignment from Pg. 85.  *All unit tests have now been corrected and will be handed back tomorrow so we can go through them.

After lunch the students had Phys. Ed with Mr. Fuchs and they participated in some circuit training in the gym. At 1:23 we had Science and the students continued to work on their Abiotic Lab Response Questions.  The students will have one more class period to work on these questions before they are due on Tuesday, October 8th.  During the last hour of the day we had our Terry Fox Walk outside with the entire school.
