What We Learned Today...October 21st

This morning we started off our week with a school wide assembly in the gym.  Shortly after arriving back to the classroom we had a brief AR period before beginning ELA.  During ELA the students were split up into groups and were tasked with creating a movie trailer on the Fairy Tale of their choice.  Students will continue to film these trailers tomorrow and they will be viewed at our first ever Deshaye Film Festival on Thursday afternoon and Thursday night.  *Don't forget to bring your costumes tomorrow!

In Grade 8 Math the students continued to write their CAT 4 tests. The students will write the final portion (Computation/Estimation) tomorrow during math and then we will begin our regular math class on Thursday.

After lunch the students had Arts. Ed with Ms. Postma and they continued to work on their Twin Portrait Assignment as well as their Artist/Painting Research Project. At 1:38 we had Religion and the students were given the half hour to work on their Creation Story Projects. *Students, these projects are due on Wednesday, October 23rd so make sure you use your class time productively tomorrow. During the last hour of the day the students had Phys. Ed with Mr. Fuchs and they did some circuit training before working on some volleyball skills.
