What We Learned Today...April 1st

ELA: We started out our day by watching the amazing rants the students filmed over the past few days.  I'm so impressed with how well everyone did with this assignment, I know if Rick Mercer saw them, he would be proud!
*I will be posting more rants on this blog throughout the next couple days!

Quidditch: Today we were supposed to have our AR movie party but we went a little longer with the rants then originally planned.  So instead of watching our movie today, we headed to the gym and quickly set up everything for Quidditch and played a few matches.

Career Education: Students used the career handouts from the jobs they were assigned last week to fill out a informational poster.  This poster will come in handy as we progress through the unit as it will serve as a quick reference to all the key information about their career.

Grade 8 Math: We started class by taking a brief quiz on Socrative before the students began working on their 6.6 textbook assignment. Unfortunately we will not have Math tomorrow so we will continue to finish up 6.6 right after the break.  Students may want to do a little bit of studying as well in their week off as we will be having our quiz and unit exam shortly after we get back.

Easter Baskets: During the last hour of the day we once again went to the Kindergarten room and worked with our afternoon little buddies on their Easter Baskets.  As I said on Monday, the students in our class continue to be wonderful role models.  This was not only evident with their little buddies, but in everything they do.  They are such an amazing group of students and I am so blessed to have the opportunity to teach them each day!
