What We Learned Today...September 10th

Don't forget tonight is Meet the Teacher Night!

This morning we started off our day with ELA from 9:08-10:38.  To start our lesson we read the story "Jason and the Golden Fleece" before moving onto the first assignment of the unit.   For the this assignment, students got into pairs and were tasked with reading three short Greek myths: "Pandora's Box", "The Twelve Labours of Hercules" and "Perseus".  After reading each story, the students used a comparison matrix to find similarities between them.

At 10:53 we had Religion and the students continued to work on the first part of their expectation assignments from yesterdays class. Once we finished up part one, students then moved onto the second part which included reading a passage from the Bible about the Holy Spirit as well as searching for definitions for words in the passage.

After lunch the students had Arts. Ed with Ms. Postma and they spent the period looking at Art with a specific focus on drawing facial features.  At 1:38 we had French and we continued our brief review unit by looking at the days of the week, months of the year and the numbers 60-100.  To end the day the students had Health with Ms. Zwingli.
