What we learned today...September 5th

Today we had our first "real" day of school. This morning we discussed expectations that we may for ourselves and others as well as expectations that others may have of us.  We then worked on an expectation assignent and wrote a quick letter outlining our expectations for ourselves and what we can do to meet those expectations. After Religion we had ELA and began working on our Personal Playlist Assignment.
In Grade 8 Math we looked at Ratio's and how we can represent them.
The Key terms from today were: Two Term Ratios, Three Term Ratio's, Part-to-Part Ratio's and Part-to-Whole Ratio's.
After lunch the students had Arts. Ed with Ms. Norris and then their first French class.  During French we looked looked at the Expectations for French this year and also reviewed the numbers 1-100.  The students took part in an interactive online version of Deal or No Deal using the Smart Board.  The students also took delight in participating in another educational game that allowed them to catapolt their teacher if they got enough French Number questions right.
After recess the students finished up the day with their first day of Phys.Ed!
