Today we started off the morning with ELA and the students spent a half hour finishing up their Personal Playlist Assignment. During the other half of ELA, the students read the short story "The Nest" and answered 3 brief response questions. In Math the Grade 8s spent the hour reviewing Ratio's, Rates and Proportions.
After lunch the grade 7/8s worked on their Art Portfolios in Arts. Ed with Ms. Norris and learned about Optics with Mr. Csada in Science class. During Social we discussed what exactly a "WANT" was versus a "NEED". After our short discussion students broke into pairs and were given numerous pictures of objects and had to decide whether they felt the items were a need or a want.

Math:
Grade 8
Pg. 51 and 59 were due today. Get them in to Mr. B as fast as possible.
Handout 2.3 is due Wednesday, September 12th and Pg. 70 is due on Thursday, September 13th
*We have a quiz on Friday, September 14th and our Unit Test is on Tuesday, September 18th.
Grade 7:
Handout 1.1 #'s 1-4
Social: Crisis in Syria response questions are due tomorrow.
