What We Learned Today...October 14th

Working on the Human Rights Activist Assignment.

This morning we kicked off our week with a school wide assembly in the gym where we recognized new students to Deshaye and practiced a few songs for our Thanksgiving Mass tomorrow at Christ the King.  Once we got back to class we began ELA and the students continued to work on their Diagon Alley assignments.  Note: These assignments will be due on Monday, October 21st.  At 10:35 the students had Phys. Ed with Mr. Fuchs before Ms. Postma stopped by for Arts. Ed where the students continued to work on their guild assignments.

After lunch we had Religion and the students had the entire period to work on their Human Rights Activist assignment before heading to Math.  In Grade 8 Math we began to work on the 3.3 handout that deals with Estimating Square Roots.  During the last hour of the day we officially began our Genius Hour with students sharing their research questions with me before starting their projects.
