What We Learned Today...September 25th

Day two of our canoeing field trip!

As soon as the Grade 8’s arrived at school this morning, we took attendance and boarded the buses for Wascana lake. We were very fortunate today to have such wonderful weather to canoe in, as last week was less than ideal. Once again, I was very impressed with how well our students represented themselves as well as their school on our field trip today.

After lunch the students had Phys. Ed with Mr. Fuchs and they began to look at the skeletal system for the first half of class. To take advantage of the nice weather, the students spent the second half of the class outside playing basketball and football. At 1:23 we had ELA and the students began to write their RAD (Reading Assessment District) Tests. Due to the fact that we had a shortened class, we will continue to write them during ELA tomorrow.

During the last hour of the day we headed outside for our annual Staff vs.Student football game.  It was a great game and nice plays were made on both sides.  Unfortunately for the students, the arm of Peyton Manning...er I mean Mr. Csada was a little too much to handle.  The HON (Highlight of the Night) goes to James for his excellent throw right into the hands of Mr. Bresciani.  Thanks James!

Here's a couple more pictures from our field trip this morning:
