The British welcoming the Immigrants to their "British Land" |
At 10:45 the students had Phys. Ed with Mr. Nui (Ms. Norris was away this morning) and played a few different games that worked on the Sending and Receiving Movement Patterns.
After lunch we had Religion and continued our lesson from yesterday by watching the short documentary about Zach Sobiech entitled, "My Last Days: Meet Zach Sobiech" It was quite a powerful documentary and students have been tasked with writing a blog post response after viewing. The response questions for the blog are: 1. How does Zach respond to death? 2. How do those around him respond to death? 3. How can you see hope present in his story? 4. Where/How can you see God in Zach's story? *This assignment is not for homework as we will have class time to work on it next week.
In Health the students spent the hour working on their "Stewards of the Body" assignment as well as another assignment from their Fully Alive books. During the last hour of the day we had Social Studies and students got into their Colonization Simulation Groups. At this point in our simulation we are about to see Canada become a country and each group has spent some time designing a flag for this "new country". Next class we will vote on a flag and officially see Canada become a country.
