What We Learned Today...January 26th

Hard at work in their Dystopian Book Club!

ELA: This morning the students got into their Dystopian Book Club groups and continued to read and discuss their selected book. **Students, don't forget to check your schedule for upcoming due dates, as all groups need to be finished section one by next Friday!

Religion: After lunch we were very fortunate to have Mr. Stawarz join us to give a fantastic presentation on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, with an emphasis on Counsel and Courage. Thank you Mr. Stawarz!

Math: We spent the majority of class today by going through the exams from last class.  Unfortunately, some of the marks didn't reflect what our class is capable of. After some debate, I have agreed to give the students a retest next Monday and I will average the scores from both tests to give students their final mark.

Science: During the last hour of the day we learned about Matter and the differences between a Pure Substance and a Mixture.  Students also had the opportunity to closely examine various elements and compounds.
