What We Learned Today...April 6th

ELA: We started out our morning with a brief AR period before finishing up persuasive essay assignment from yesterday.  Over the second half of the period we reviewed the key ingredients for a good introduction paragraph and students began writing their own practice paragraph using the prompt: "Would Mr. B make a good body guard for Justin Bieber?"

Science: Students got into the groups we made before the Easter break and participated in the Separation Lab.  Over the period students were tasked with efficiently separating a mixture of sand and sawdust and  I was quite impressed with how creative the different procedures were.

Easter Mass: After lunch we walked over to the church for our Easter Mass. A special thank you to Ms. Folk, Ms. Joyce and Ms. Papandreou for planning such a wonderful celebration!
